Our April meeting was cancelled because several of us were making arrangements to go to the Arizona Book Festival in Phoenix. We joined about 20 other SSA members at the SSA Booth. Some feel that it might be more profitable to hold our own Book Festivals in our own small communities. We plan to discuss this in the Fall.

At our meeting on May 13th Sharon Magee was our guest speaker. There topic "A Dollar for your Thoughts" was most interesting and full encouragement to those of us who sit all day writing their novels and wonder all night when we'll ever see any money for it.

The Congress-Wickenburg Chapter of SSA will be taking a summer break until October. Many of us are going out of town for the next several months and we feel that this short hiatus will give us time to regroup and try to encourage new members. Several of us plan to attend the Conference in Tucson in September and are looking forward to this wonderful event.
