Join Us for the
Society of Southwestern Authors' 36th Annual Wrangling With Writing September 27 & 28, 2008 Tucson, Arizona |
Welcome to Wrangling with Writing, the hands-down best writers conference in Arizona, now in its 36th year. With 40 workshops about the craft and the business of writing, top keynote speakers to inspire you, and agents, editors, and publishers soliciting manuscripts, you won't find a friendlier or more well-rounded writing conference anywhere.
You can register for one-on-one meetings with members of the soliciting staff to pitch your fiction or nonfiction manuscript or your movie or play script. Start preparing now. Write a query letter, prepare your log lines. Write a one-page, double-spaced synopsis. Bring an outline and a few pages of your best writing. Be prepared to sell yourself and sell your work. For a great inside look at how to get the most out of your Wrangling with Writing experience, see the article, "Meet Me In The Bar: Notes on Working A Writer's Conference" by one of our favorite workshop leaders, Bob Yehling, at ssa-az.org/meet_me.htm
